Jimmie Maier, Sr.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Maier, Sr., age 70, of Jonesville were held at Oswalt Cemetery in Monterey on Friday, April 3, 2009, at 4 PM with
Rev Stan Wyant officiating, under the
the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.
Mr. Maier was born April 20, 1938, in Oakdale, LA, the son of William Henry
Maier and Margaret Dunn Maier, and passed from this life Wednesday, April 1,
2009, at The Columns Community Care Center in Jonesville.
He was a resident of Jonesville, a mechanic, and he served in the Korean War
with the United States Army.
Mr. Maier was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, three daughters, Roxie Eddy of Missouri,
Veronica Shipley of Jonesville, and Tracy Bolyer of Jonesville; and two sons,
William Maier of Lismore, and Jimmie Maier, Jr. of Sandy Lake.
Mr. Maier is also survived by his brothers, Michael Maier and Author Maier, both
of Monterey.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmie Maier, Jr., L.V. Boyler, Jr., Michael V. Maier, Francis
Peebles, James Davis and Dallas Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jessie Lee Boyler and William Maier.

Shelton Eugene Simpson
Funeral services for Mr. Shelton Eugene Simpson, age 59, of Venice, LA were held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, on Friday, April 3, 2009, at 2 PM with Rev. Ron Ferrington officiating.
Interment followed at Dewey Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young's
Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Simpson was born September 4, 1949, in Shaw, La., the son of Ida Mae and
Joseph Woodrow Simpson, Sr.,
and passed from this life Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Venice.
He was a resident of Venice formerly of Shaw. He was a commercial fisherman and mechanic. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jesse Charles
Simpson and
Joseph Woodrow Simpson, Jr., and his sister Peggy Otto.
He is survived by his children, daughter, Marsha Simpson Guidry, son, Shannon
Eugene Simpson, son Shelton Eugene Simpson, and daughter, Sammi Lynn Simpson.
Also surviving Mr. Simpson are his grandchildren, Chance A. Simpson, Chase M.
Simpson, Mira M. Simpson, Kyleigh M. Ledesma, and Micah I. Simpson.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Faye Bell, JoAnn Grant, Frank
Simpson, David Wayne Simpson and Diane Walker.
Pallbearers were family and friends.

Eloise Willson Burrill
Graveside Funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Willson Burrill, age 87, of Lismore, were held at Oswalt Cemetery on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 2:30 PM with Bro. Russell Crum officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Burrill was born June 6, 1921, in Lismore, La., the daughter of J. Miller
Willson and Gustine (Schneider) Willson,
and passed from this life Saturday, April 4, 2009, at The Oaks in Monroe.
She was a resident of Lismore, a house wife, and a member of the Lismore Baptist Church.
Mrs. Burrill was preceded in death by her daughter Beverly Burrill Moore, her
son Clark Burrill, Jr., her great-granddaughter Mallory Mahoney, and her
husband Clark H. Burrill, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters Margaret Burrill and her husband Johnny
Fudickar of Frogmore, La., and Rebecca Burrill and her husband Gary Ford of
Monroe, La.; and her sister Inez Willson Rich of Lismore.
Mrs. Burrill is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
The Pallbearers were Lance Fudickar, John Bennett Fudickar, Fred Fudickar, Jr.,
Bo Mahoney, Jesse Poole, and Jack Mount.

Jim Moss, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Jim Moss, Jr., age 67, of Church Hill, Ms., were held
at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 10 AM with
Casey Young officiating.
Interment followed at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young's
Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Moss was born June 24, 1941, in Batesville, Ms., the son of James O. Moss,
Sr. and Elsie Hardin Rogers, and passed from this life Saturday, April 4, 2009,
at his residence in Church Hill. He was an eletrical engineer with
Schlumberger.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Moss III of Tioga, Allen Moss of Lake St. John,
Mark Moss of Houston, Texas, and John Moss of San Francisco, Ca.
Also surviving Mr. Moss are his 7 grandchildren.
The Pallbearers were Robert Bass, Max Lee, Trey Corbet, Bill Corbet, Dalton
Corbet, and Perry Corbet.

John H. Mason
John H. Mason, age 69, formerly of Leland, passed from this life on Monday,
March 30, 2009, at his home in Belle Chasse, La. He was the beloved husband of
Josie Mason of 49 years.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillian Mason of
Picayune, Ms., and
brother, Huey L. Mason of Belle Chasse.
He is survived by his brother Roger Dale Mason and four sisters, Joann Spiers,
Rosemary Burns, Linda Kelly, and Verna Mae Stewart, all of Picayune.
Mr. Mason is also survived by his children, John A. Mason and his wife Ollie,
and Cathy Huff and her husband, Tommy Huff, Jr.
He is also survived by his grandsons, Jonathan Mason and Heath Huff, and two
great-granddaughters, Ashtyn and Allyson Mason, as well as numerous nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services were held in the Mothe Funeral Home Chapel in Harvey, La., at
11 AM on Friday, April 3, 2009.
Interment followed in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse.
The family thanks everyone for their prayers and support.
